Functional Elegance

For centuries, fire screens served both practical and decorative purposes, protecting the hearth while adding beauty to the home. They remain some of my favorite forms of ironwork because they combine utility, tradition, and sculptural presence.

Many of the fire screens shown here draw inspiration from surviving examples of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, while being thoughtfully adapted for modern fireplaces and contemporary interiors.
